I've finally fixed my layout to something pretty and less readable. I've tried to tweak the layout, but overall I'm okay with how it looks. Why yes, can you tell me what fandom I am obsessing over right now?
The weather's been okay for the past few days, but right now it looks like it's going to rain again. This makes me worried since our two dogs, Panda and Maya, are not used to being caged. I didn't like the idea either, but my mother insisted on getting the dogs medicated for their worsening flea problem.
And for random quizzies, the results of my Which fantasy writer are you? test.
Congratulations! You are High-Brow, Peaceful, Traditional and Cynical! These concepts are defined below.
Ursula Kroeber Le Guin is definitely one of the most celebrated science fiction and fantasy writers of all times. Her most famous fantasy work to date is the Earthsea suite of novels and short stories, in which Le Guin created not only one of the most believable societies in fantasy fiction, but also managed to describe a school for wizards almost three decades before Harry Potter. Although often categorized as written for young adults, these books have entertained and challenged readers of all ages since their publication.
Le Guin is no stranger to literary experiments (see for example Always Coming Home(1985)), but much of her story-telling is quite traditional. In fact, she makes a point of returning to older forms of story-telling, which, at her best, enables her to create something akin to myth. One shouldn't confuse myth with faerytale, though. Nothing is ever simplified in Le Guin's world, as she relentlessly explores ethical problems and the moral choices that her characters must make, as must we all. While being one of those writers who will allow you to escape to imaginary worlds, she is also one who will prompt you to return to your actual life, perhaps a little wiser than you used to be.
You are also a lot like Susan Cooper. If you want some action, try Michael Moorcock. If you'd like a challenge, try your exact opposite, C S Lewis.

 I know I may have missed 4-5 birthdays during my long hiatus! I'll make it up to you!
I'm going to miss Toycon this coming weekend. It turns out I have work on Friday and Saturday nights, and despite Sunday morning being free, I have to attend the baptism of my cousin's daughter. I'm to be her godmother, and there are beliefs that bad things happen if your (fairy) godmother does not attend your baptism. This is really depressing for me, as the Austria cosplay is nearly complete. There's talk of running to it Saturday morning, but that's just too much considering I have work that night :( Sometimes I hate working for a call center.
( cut for two random photos of Austria. )
And to turn this blog into a photo-blog, have a picture of the sunset at Lago de Oro during low tide. We were around 20 meters from the usual shoreline, that was how far away the tide ebbed. The poor starfishes didn't know what to do in the dry sand.

I'm about to post my daily_deviant art but my login is not letting me post to any of the communities I've joined. D:

Just dropping a line to mention that it amused me verily when I checked on the guesses for my Snupin Santa contribution, everyone guessed me. Am I that distinctive?
This is birthday week, not only for me but also for Snape, and I am plotting birthday celebrations! I have two days off from work.

I'm currently feeling a bit under the weather because of a flu bug that's been going through the office. Seems like everyone has caught sick/been absent because of it/or is about to be absent soon. I don't want to get sick; our schedule for November is bound to suck big time if we have any more absences or tardy records.
Because of the schedule and the workload, by the time I get home I'm either tired or sleepy, so I haven't done much beyond planning on what to do for my Snupin Santa present. It's a secret, of course, but one I want to finish so much already! I have great plans for it, especially with Painter installed on the computer.
Any art I do right now is done in transit, and though doodling in the train or in the bus may seem strange, it's actually a good thing. I can't sleep standing up on the MRT anyway, though everyone knows I've tried.
What seems like a two page MWPP era Snupin comic, without text.

I'm a bit - overwhelmed right now. I'm trying to get all the stuff I have on lj mirrored here, and it's daunting. ^^;
